2023 BMW i4 Model Trims

The 2023 BMW i4 is available in three different versions: eDrive35, eDrive40, and M50. Here's what each of them has to offer:

eDrive35 Model

Although this is the 2023 BMW i4's base version, the eDrive35 trim is quick, powerful, and comes with many useful features. Its rear-mounted electric motor has an output of 281 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, which should be more than enough for most sedan drivers. It's also capable of reaching a speed of 60 mph from a standstill in only 5.8 seconds. The range for this trim is 260 miles for a single charge, making the i4 a suitable vehicle for road trips. 

Some of the standard features of the eDrive35 trim are wireless smartphone integration through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a huge 14.9-inch touch-screen interface, 18-inch wheels, a gorgeous sunroof, keyless ignition and entry, and LED headlights. It also comes with many useful driver aids to help you navigate through traffic. Multiple optional packages allow you to personalize your i4 based on your needs and preferences. They include the following:

• Premium package: If you'd like to improve the comfort and elegance levels on an already comfortable and elegant car, this package will do the trick. It includes heated seats and a heated steering wheel, lumbar support, and interior ambient lighting.
• Parking Assistance package: If you find it a bit challenging to navigate the i4 through tight spaces, this package provides you with the technology to make your life easier. A 360-degree camera system allows you to see everything around your car, while a fully automated parking system can park your BMW without you even touching the wheel.
• Dynamic Handling package: If you're looking for even more driving pleasure from your i4, this package could be for you. It adds large 19-inch wheels with special performance tires, upgraded brakes with eye-catching red or blue calipers, and an adaptive suspension system that lets you choose between enhanced comfort and optimal handling performance.
• Driving Assistance Professional package: If safety is your main concern, this package provides you with the tools you need to maximize your chances of avoiding any dangers on the road. It includes an adaptive cruise control system that automatically keeps a safe distance from the car in front, a lane-keeping system that steers the BMW i4 back into its lane if it senses it drifting, a front cross-traffic warning system, and even automatic steering in specific road conditions.

eDrive40 Model

The next trim includes all the standard features of the eDrive35 plus some added extras and optional packages. It offers an increased power output, as it's capable of generating up to 335 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque. Despite having more power, the eDrive40 also has an extended range, as it can go for up to 301 miles on a single charge. 

Some of the extra available options are the adaptive headlights feature, which makes your headlights turn in the direction of the steering wheel to help you while taking curves, and the M Sport package. This makes your i4 sportier and more aggressive looking, with a black exterior trim, a rear spoiler, an M steering wheel, and a variable sport steering system. 

M50 Model

The top-of-the-range 2023 BMW i4 trim incorporates most features of the previous trim, including the eDrive40's optional M Sport package. This performance-based model adds a new motor, with the dual-motor powertrain producing 469 horsepower and 538 lb-ft of torque. It's also an all-wheel drive. If for some reason you think you need even more power, it also features a Sport Boost mode that boosts the power output to an astonishing 536 horsepower for up to 10 seconds. Despite the high-power output, the M50 has a more than respectable 270-mile range.

The two extra packages available for the M50 are the M Carbon Exterior package and the High-Performance Tire package. The latter includes 20-inch wheels with performance tires, enhanced brakes, and a sporty rear spoiler.
